Best Time To Plant Sod
Question:
Would we be able to sod in the Fall -- late August early September or should we wait until the spring?
Answer:
Sept and Oct are better months to sod than July and Aug as the heat sucks the moisture out of the sod with its freshly cut root system. As for the Spring, it is good as well, however the sod will not look as green until late May.
